M+M: Undiminished high growth rate in Q3

  • Sales +30% / EBIT +40% / Net +38% / Cash flows +82%
  • Ambitious 2019 and 2020 targets underlined
Wessling, October 21, 2019 – Mensch und Maschine Software SE (MUM - ISIN DE0006580806), a CAD/CAM specialist company, in Q3 continued further on the record path: High organic growth plus strong figures from new group member SOFiSTiK resulted in a total +30% sales and +40% EBIT increase for the first 9 months. In the third quarter separately, the growth rates were even higher at +38% sales and +52% EBIT.

9M Group sales increased to EUR 174.27 mln (PY: 133.55 / +30% or +23% organic), with EUR 54.73 mln (PY: 40.08 / +37%) from M+M Software and EUR 119.54 mln (PY: 93.47 / +28%) from VAR Business.

Operating profit EBIT grew to EUR 18.19 mln, the highest 9M result ever. Compared to previous year’s EUR 13.02 mln, EBIT growth was +40% total or +23% organic. Software contribution to group EBIT was EUR 12.18 mln (PY: 8.99 / +35%), while the VAR Business achieved EUR 6.00 mln (PY: 4.03 / +49%).

Net profit after minority shares increased by +38% (or +29% organic) to EUR 10.91 mln (PY: 7.93), or 65 Cents (PY: 48) per share. Operating cash flows jumped to a new record of EUR 20.04 mln (PY: 11.04 / +82% or +32% organic and adjusted by IFRS16).

Against this background, CEO Adi Drotleff is very confident for the future: ‘Our ambitious 2019 targets – EBIT to grow +22-33% to EUR 24-26 mln, EPS +25-34% to 89-95 Cents, and 77-83 Cents dividend (PY: 65 / +18-28%) - are comfortably underlined by the very good nine months figures. Instead of +15-20% we now expect +20-30% growth to EUR 222-240 mln for sales. In addition for 2020, we stay with our guidance of +10-12% sales growth, combined with EUR +3.5-5.0 mln for EBIT and +18-24 Cents for earnings per share (EPS), as well as a 15-20 Cents higher dividend.’
